My great grandfather, Alex Ryan Thompson was born and reared in a log cabin in Meadow Bluff, WV.  He married Mina Arabela Henley in 1890 and together they raised 11 boys and 3 girls.  All 14 children had long lives and many descendants resulted.   The descendants of this family still gather in an reunion every summer.

My mother, Virginia Thornburg Thompson, collected a wealth of genealogy information which I have had the pleasure of assembling and sharing with other members of the Thompson Clan.  This site is intended to help make this information available to other members of the extended Thompson family.
